My week in photos 7.16.12 - 7.22.12. See more of my Instagram photos here.
One of my favorite guilty not so guilty pleasures is frozen yogurt. There are at least four Yogurtlands within a ten minute driving distance from my house. I love how they all have many different flavors and toppings, how you can choose how much to serve yourself, and how colorful and cheerful the decor is. My favorite flavors are peanut butter, green tea, and green apple tart (but not mixed together!) On this particular day, I had mango pina colada with strawberries, raspberries, and banana slices.
Yogurtland is even more amazing these days because of the "Summer Vacation" promotion that they're doing. It's basically Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters making an appearance. These Hello Kitty plushes are dressed as Yogurtland employees - CUTE!
I'm very sad that I didn't have time to take better quality photos of this dress for a full Style Post. I didn't think that I even liked (or could pull off) cutout dresses, but I am so happy that I found this one...and it was the last one in my size at Charlotte Russe! I tried it on, surprised myself by how flattering it actually was on me, and the rest is history. So what was the occasion? Faustina and I went out to dinner last night and then met up with some of her coworkers at a lounge/club.
Just for fun, I decided to try out a new hairstyle. Well, to be more accurate, I didn't want to wear my hair in a boring ponytail and it looked weird just leaving it down with my dress's neckline. After a bit of experimenting (and lots of bobby pins and hairspray), I came up with a perfectly imperfect side updo. My hair is still pretty short - just a little bit shorter than shoulder length, so I was surprised by how nice it turned out. (Forgive my bragging!) The best part was that it stayed intact the whole night.
Lucas and I went on a date today and we saw "The Dark Knight Rises." He's a big Batman fan and I'm an even bigger Christian Bale fan, so this was perfect for us. I won't spoil the film for anyone who hasn't seen it yet, but I will say this: it was EPIC, and I do not use that word often.
that cutout dress is absolutely stunning on you! the color is perfect! xx
