Style Post 9.9.11 - FBFF Edition

What I have today is a Style Post and an FBFF post combined into one. This week's theme is "Dressing to the Tune." This is my favorite Visual FBFF prompt by far and I was really excited to pick out an outfit based on a song. I chose to interpret "Who's to Say" by Vanessa Carlton.

 Stand up straight
Do your trick, turn on the stars
Jupiter shines so bright when you're around
They tell us to slow down
We're too young, you need to grow
Well speed's the key
And they don't know who we are

Who's to say we're not good enough?
Who's to say that this is not our love?

Mother, don't tell me friends are the ones that I lose
'Cause they'd bleed before you
Sometimes family are the ones you choose
It's too late now, I hold on to this life I've found

Who's to say we won't burn it out?
Who's to say we won't sink in doubt?
Who's to say we won't fade to gray?
Who are they anyway? They don't know

And you say we're too young
But maybe you're too old to remember
And I try to pretend but I just feel it when we're together
And if you don't believe me you never really knew us
You never really knew

You and I packing up my room
We feel alright
But we're not welcome, soon we'll be driving
'Cause they don't know who we are

Who's to say we won't stay together?
Who's to say were aren't getting stronger?
Who's to say I can't live without you?
Who are they anyway? They don't know

And you say we're too young
But maybe you're too old to remember
And I try to pretend but I just feel it when we're together
Who's to say? Who's to say?
Who are they anyway?
Stand up boy, I shine so bright when you're around

  1. I love your hair! It looks so pretty! I always feel weird having my hair up but this is a must try! It's so chic!

I like the way you encorporated the rosettes on both your dress and in your hair! It's very pretty and feminine!

  3. Love your dress, shades of neutrals. I can totally copy this look, I even own a similar flat like yours. Was reading your 'about' page, I love Jane Austen too. I definitely will be checking back your blog.
Thanks for participating this week visual FBFF.
